Born in Budapest. Trained at the Hungarian State Ballet School, graduated with honors.1959 Member of Budapest States Opera Ballet. 1965 Joined John Cranko in StuttgartPrincipal dancer in Kiel / Lübeck, State Opera Hamburg as well in Mannheim.Grand Ballet Classique de France Paris, Tokyo City Ballet. Studied with Hedwig Hidas, Horwath Margit, Boris Kniaseff, Olga Lepechinskaya, Marika Besobrasova, Anne Wooliams and Victor Gsovsky.Worked with John Cranko, George Balanchine, Anton Dolin, Gyula Harangozo,Peter van Dyck, Horst Müller.Repertory as a ballerina: Giselle, Odette/Odile, Sylphide, Swanilda, Kitri, Lise, Julia, Cinderella Tours with Hungarian State Ballet in Moscow, Helsinki, Stockholm and Cairo. Tours with Grand Ballet Classique de France under the direction of Liliane Daydee, in Paris, Bruxelles and South America.

Gregor Hatala

Born in Vienna, Gregor Hatala grew up in the world of ballet. His father, Milan Hatala, a solo dancer with various companies and ballet master of the Vienna State Opera for almost 30 years, became his major teacher, while his mother, Christine Hatala, directs the family's private ballet school.
In 1990 Gregor Hatala became the youngest member of the Vienna State Opera Ballet and was promoted soloist in 1996 and principal in 2000. During the 1994/95 season he danced as a soloist with Boston Ballet (director B. Marks) and was a permanent principal artist with the Hungarian and Slovakian National Theatres from 1999 to 2004. He has an impressively long list of major roles to his credit, many of which were world premières.
From 2003 to 2008 Gregor Hatala was the organiser of theGala di Danza within the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto, Italy, and consultant to Francis Menotti.
In 2009 he was elected chairman of the Vienna State Opera Ballet Association for which he organises ballet performances and company tours.
In 2011 Gregor Hatala became the President of the Austrian Dance Council. In 2012 he started the highly successful dance festival Ballet Days in Vienna. Besides he gives workshops/ master classes and works as a guest Ballet Master.
Gregor Hatala has choreographed for the Vienna Volksoper (Der Vetter aus Dingsda, The Merry Wives of Windsor), the Spoleto Festival, the Istanbul International Music Festival (Firebird), as well as the internationally televised Midsummernight's Concerts 2011 & 2012 of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra with Valery Gergiev and Gustavo Dudamel respectively.Since 2013
